Claw Code is a clean-room reimplementation of Claude Code's agent harness, built in Rust with Python orchestration. Features 19+ tools with permission contexts, plugin extensibility, and multi-provider support (Anthropic, OpenAI, xAI, Qwen, OpenRouter, Ollama). Became the fastest repo to reach 100K stars in GitHub history. While very new, its rapid adoption reflects strong demand for open-source alternatives to proprietary AI coding agents.
